Multi Lingual Dutch/French/English Audiovisual IT Operator
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Lingual Audiovisual IT Operator to join well established blue chip organisation based at their prestigious offices in Brussels.
As a Multi Lingual Audiovisual IT Operator you will be responsible for:
Installing new/rebuilding existing Servers and configuring hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Performing regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Performing (daily) backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site if needed. Creating, changing, and deleting user accounts per request with desired membership in respective defined groups, Repairing and recovering from hardware or software failures and coordinating and communicating accordingly with impacted teams.
Maintaining network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls Administering Active Directory, rights managements, and ensuring domain operationality Clearing communication with all parties concerned.
As a Audiovisual IT Operator you will have:
A University IT degree with minimum 4-6 years' experience in systems administration and a related field.
Thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (DNS, Security, Firewall Fortinet, Mc Afree, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, etc..) L2, L3 expertise in Networking with hands on experience of network troubleshooting tools, network monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Nageos, Dataminer), understanding of network protocols Current CCNA and/or CCDA certification or equivalent through experience Ability to maintain and troubleshoot FTP, SSL Certificates, DNS, DHCP, SCSI, iSCSI and FC protocols. Experience administrating Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008, R2 in an enterprise environment.
Thorough understanding of Server Solutions, Virtualization Platforms, Backup Methodologies and underlying Storage architecture - SAN, NAS, Tape Libraries. Ability to identify and troubleshoot server performance issues using native Windows Server tools and utilities. Ability to troubleshoot Active Directory issues at forest level with multiple Child domain scenarios and understanding of end to end Group Policy infrastructure; where needed highly level Scripting for random requirements. End to end understanding of infrastructure SAN operations with hands on experience on SAN Switches, Zoning mechanisms, Volumes, Aggregates, LUN Extensions etc.
Thorough understanding of server virtualization and partitioning, storage virtualization; Storage technologies (SAN/NAS/Tape Libraries/SAN Switches) including Hardware
