MSSQL - INFRASTRUCTURE DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

We are looking to find a responsible and open minded candidate who adds value to our client's IT team. Our client is an international Swiss Bank.

What you will do:

- Install, maintain, operate and support the CH MS SQL & Sybase Infrastructure Environment
- Active participation in the resolution of system and performance issues
- Close working relationship with other team members locally and globally to provide understanding across all components of the database environments.
- DBA support for development teams and involvement in recommendations for new projects
- Additional function to provide advice and assistance in terms of developing and progressing the infrastructure environments, including the assessment of needs and recommend solutions in an Enterprise IT.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

- At least five years' experience and extensive knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- Good knowledge of Windows & SQL Server Clustering based on Windows Server 2003/2008 with of VERITAS clustering and volume manager (SAN/NAS Storage)
- troubleshooting, Performance management
- Knowledge of installing and configuring SQL Server- Reporting Services, Integrations Services, Analysis Services.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, high self-motivation, ability to work with minimal guidance and to manage issues and problems through to resolution
- Knowledge management, including documentation
- Fluent in English, preferably also in German
- OnCall 24/7 Standby service, required
- Sybase knowledge is an advantage
