Our client, Sense is a national charity providing support and advice to people who are deafblind, their families, friends and professionals.

Help them achieve a world in which all deafblind children and adults can be full and active members of society.

They have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist.

MSI Consultant (Specialist Speech and Language Therapist)
Ref: 59038
Salary: £35,646 - £39,823 per annum
Salary points: 45 - 50
Hours: 37.5 hours
Location: A national post with a requirement to be based at our client's centres such as at Peterborough/ Birmingham/ the London area
Contract: Full time maternity cover - 1 year fixed term contract (A job share will be considered)
To start: Immediate start preferred

About the job

As a member of Children's Specialist Services you will take an active role in supporting the delivery of our charitable and commissioned services. Working in line with current legislation and practice guidelines, you will support and manage a caseload of deafblind children, young people and their families in a range of settings.

The post holder will also undertake specialist assessments, provide necessary intervention and work in partnership with colleagues and other professionals from education, health, social care and other voluntary agencies to support identified needs. As part of the national team you will also contribute to their vibrant training programme.

Skills and abilities

Our client, Sense would like to hear from you if you also have experience of working with deafblind / multi-sensory impaired children and adapting learning approaches to meet their specific communication needs.

The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
