MS SQL DBA - 9 Months Contract role in Zurich

On behalf of our client, an interesting international company, we are currently looking for a MS SQL DBA. This role is a full time 9 months contract position based in Zurich and a suitable candidate is supposed to start as soon as possible. REQUIREMENTS:

- Working for a multinational team within an international workplace
- Production and development support for trading and non-trading applications
- Sql Server installations, upgrades and fault diagnosis
- Responsibility for implementing security and audit standards, as well as maintenance and monitoring tasks.
- Expertise on any of the following extra technologies: Windows admin, Unix/Linux Admin, Oracle DBA.
- Good to have or willing to learn: Sharepoint and/or Powershell
- Strong experience in SQL Server as a DBA (5 years) SQL 2005 and SQL 2008
- Experience in Windows 2003 SQL Custers and Veritas Volume Manager
- Ideally, previous experience in supporting and consulting in a large (200 systems) environment
- Some experience with Sybase is an advantage - but is only a nice to have.
- Nice to have experience in Windows 2008 SQL clusters
- We are looking for candidates with:
- An EU or Swiss work permit
- Willing to work in 24h shift (every 8 weeks)
