For a project at our client s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
MS-SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (5353)
In this role you will work within the global database organization to provide high level database expertise for day to day support of production and development environments.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF MSSQL SERVER ADMINISTRATION IDEALLY WITHIN THE BANKING/FINANCIAL INDUSTRY
- 5+ YEARS' EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF RDBMS TECHNOLOGIES
- STRONG DBMS SKILLS IN MSSQL 2005, 2008 R2, 2012, 2014 AND 2016
- EXCELLENT DATABASE PERFORMANCE TUNING SKILLS AND SQL CODE TUNING SKILLS
- Experience in large enterprise supporting 500 + Servers
- Good experience of DB Mirroring/Clusters and Replication
- Experience in any of SSAS, SSIS, SSRS and Goldengate will be preferred as well as experience of AlwaysOn is a bonus
- FLUENT IN ENGLISH
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement complex changes
- Troubleshoot and solve incidents as well as Monitor and analyze performance issues
- Work with numerous technical teams to improve core infrastructure
- DBA Support for application development and production support teams
- Out of hours rota and weekend working as required
- Weekend working will include MSSQL replication/Cluster setup duties
- Ensure compliance with operational/change management guidelines
- Support for application and infrastructure BCM tests
