MS SQL BI Developer
CPL Solutions currently have an urgent requirement for a Senior MS SQL BI Developer to work an Initial 4 month contract role for a client based in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will deliver solutions to the business stakeholders using the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack. She/he must work according to Datawarehouse, Data Mart and ETL best practices using the Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 toolset.
Key Skills
- Expert knowledge of T-SQL and SSMS: additional experience of other relational database technologies (Oracle/DB2/MySQL) will be considered
- Ability to write and understand complex SQL queries
- Ability to develop stored procedures and routines that perform well on large volumes of data
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Agent/Job scheduling
- Performance Tuning, eg Index Creation and Optimisation
- Good working knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (2+ years)
- Good working knowledge of SQL Reporting Services (2+ years)
- Working knowledge of SQL Analysis Services
- Unit/System Testing and Data Auditing/Validation
- Experience in the full development life cycle of an enterprise Datawarehouse/mart adhering to star-schema design principles
- A systematic approach to development and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a small, highly focused team.
