MS Dynamics AX Technical, Axapta

The IT AX Technical Architect will work and partner key business users, consultants and our internal IT Infrastructure/Application team to translate business requirements into system needs, looking for optimal and best practices ways to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP. The incumbent will be responsible to see and optimize best technical alternatives for our company. The candidate must have a deep technical understanding of how Dynamics AX ERP technical architectures works combined with a good functional/business understanding.

Responsibilities:

Define ideal and practical business system technical solutions to support the implementation of MS Dynamics AX ERP across the company.

Work closely with the assigned ERP core team and consultants around technical aspects

Get familiar with how the system is being designed and configured to match up against best AX technical practices, in example, how to integrate it with other external software, ISVs, or home-made applications.

Responsible to help to complete system integrations to/from Dynamics ERP AX

Support IT internal talent to get up to speed with programming practices, reporting and AX ERP programming practices

Work closely with DBAs to evaluate and suggests best practices for having an optimal AX environment

Provide ERP support in complex requirements or challenges requiring a deep technical expertise

Actively partner with key users into the designed areas to look for ways to keep optimization the system usage and users knowledge

Active participation into current ERP implementations ensuring integration between Allegion AX istances

Be up-to-date with newest version of the ERP, finding out opportunities to further optimize its usage

Use a formal methodology when driving solutions

Partner with internal IT team members to, collectively, provide support to our business operations

Requirements:

5+ years of proven experience with large manufacturing (multi-national) operations playing AX technical roles with solid knowledge about AX ERP modules

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP R2, R3

Experience with major ERP upgrades and/or implementations

English speaking ( French speaking also is appreciated)
