MS BI Analyst (CIS)

A client of mine, a well known educational institute is looking for an experienced MS SQL Analyst with specialist Reporting Skills to join their small MIS Reporting team.

The main responsibility of the role will be to produce and to publish a variety of Management Information, principally related to the central Student Records System, for the use of College staff and external customers. Additionally to develop appropriate IT solutions to better facilitate data collection and validation processes.

The successful candidate will have experience in the following:

- Working in partnership with all College staff to enable them to clarify and define their information needs
- Use Access/Excel/SQL and other relevant software to write and develop dynamic reports from a range of CIS databases ensuring that data is readily available to staff in a variety of formats
- Using Access/Excel/SQL write ad hoc queries to provide data and reports for staff and external bodies as required from various complex database
- Work with the Head of Business Intelligence and the Head of Quality to develop links between College data systems to improve integration and the effective use of data across the college. Eg Finance and Marketing
- Be experienced working with Capita Unit E Systems
- Develop and maintain an excellent knowledge and understanding of SFA, YPLA and HEFCE funding methodologies and data requirements, for use in standard and ad hoc reporting requirements

The Reporting Specialist will have a proven track record of working in a successful MIS, Reporting or Data Management team and ideally have experience working within a Further or Higher Education environment.
