MR - Senior Software Developer (Flash)

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This senior software development position will add value to the AMPT Core Video Player development team as they develop the 2015 MARCH MADNESS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT desktop web video player and application features.

This position will be involved in the WEB-BASED APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT and VIDEO PLAYER INTEGRATIONS into the March Madness Live 2015 web app, primarily using Adobe FLASH technologies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of professional core software development experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in JAVASCRIPT AND ACTIONSCRIPT.
- Work in a very fast paced environment and be self-sufficient
- Must be responsible, accountable, and have a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of FLASH VIDEO PLAYER TECHNOLOGIES, or other digital media technologies
- Good understanding of DATA STRUCTURES, ALGORITHMS, and fundamentals of computer science
- Demonstrates ability to master new technologies quickly
- Willingness to watch a lot of tournament time college basketball.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Technical knowledge in video streaming
- Strong background in C++, C# or Java is a plus
- Client-side technologies (HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS)
- Experience in video and video playback technologies.
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies.
