MQ Middleware - Technical Architect

Role description
The Infrastructure Provisioning Team member will provision infrastructure components that are required for the application migration team to install applications. The Provisioning team member will support application migration activities relating to their infrastructure expertise, following IMS migration guidelines. Furthermore, the engineer will validate whether delivered installation documents and operations guides meet standard quality guidelines.

Responsibilities
The Middleware engineer will setup Middleware services in a DTAP environment, mostly within virtualized environments. The Middleware engineer will support application migrations by executing installations of interfaces and components within the new environment, under supervision of the application migration project, and will transfer the delivered application components and interfaces to operations. The engineer will support Technical Proof of Concepts.

Skills
The Middleware engineer is a certified WebSphere AS and MQ engineer, with experience in management as well as delivery of business critical WebSphere solutions. The engineer has had previous roles in migration projects and is experienced with deployments of WebSphere on multiple platforms and prerequisites for migration WebSphere applications and interfaces.
