MQ ADMINISTRATOR - BRUSSELS - 12 MONTHS
One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a MQ administrator.

CONTEXT
In the IT Engineering department of the client, the EAI team is in charge of putting in place, operating and maintaining the MQ and IIB (IBM Integration Bus) infrastructure of the Bank.
In the context of the evolution of this infrastructure, we have several challenging projects and are looking for an experienced MQ system administrator to join and reinforce the team to:
- Maintain the current infrastructure
- Participate in projects using MQ technology
- Support the team for the follow-up of changes and incidents
- Security Management
- Process automation
- Documentation
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities and main tasks:
- Administration of the existing infra (manage Servers, queues managers)
- Create queue managers and queues
- Prepare, document, plan, organizes, execute, and validate changes
- Contribute to projects for the MQ part
- Follow-up incidents and participate to root cause analysis
Participate to support of the infra:
- Analyse possibilities to automates activities, propose solutions and implement it
EDUCATION
Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience in MQ infrastructure management
CERTIFICATION: ITIL
LANGUAGES REQUIREMENT
- French & Dutch - Fluent
- English - Fluent
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of experience in MQ administration
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
- Broad knowledge of IBM MQ (up to v7.5 minimum). Platform is running on both Windows 2008 and AIX 7.1
- Knowledge of MQ server and client setup and management.
- Knowledge and experience of automation and Scripting in MQ environments
Preferable
- Recent successful proven experience(s) in similar/comparable environment
- Knowledge of MQ v8
- Knowledge and experience with high availability environments
- Knowledge of IIB (IBM Integration Bus, previously called WMB: at least v7, preferably v9)
BUSINESS EXPERIENCE
Mandatory
- Discuss with the internal client all along the projects life cycle
- Set up, monitor, report and review SLA's with responsible maintenance departments
- Ensure a good working relationship is established with all necessary support organizations both internal and external
- Coordinates the escalations when the projects are in production

- Well-developed analytical intellect
- Quick self-starter, pro-active attitude
- Good Communication and Influencing skills
- Good analytical and synthesis skills
- Autonomy, commitment and perseverance
