MOSS/Sharepoint Architect (SC) - Contract - Berkshire - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Technical Architect with significant MOSS/Sharepoint design experience to work at a leading defence client in Berkshire on a contract basis.

This technical design authority is responsible for the technical design, delivery and ongoing support of the services hosted on the MOSS platform. For the services they have responsibility, they will ensure cost effective designs which meet both functional and non functional requirements of the customer as specified on the contract or elaborated and agreed during the solution specification/design process.

Responsibilities include:

- Support the delivery of the design through all life cycle stages from specification through to live operation.
- Support the full range of services within the portfolio, including: Messaging, MOSS, EDRM and Workflow
- Provide governance and thought leadership to the architects and subject matter experts tasked with developing the designs.
- Ensuring that current live services meet requirements and that required service levels are delivered.

Experience required:

- An experienced technical leader with a track record of successfully leading teams of technicians in a Matrix organisation to a successful outcome.
- Specialist technical knowledge with MOSS, as well as previous leadership of related architectures
- Detailed experience of technology design and implementation policies and practices; familiarity with the following policies and regulatory standards relating to information management: BIP0008, TNA, MoReq, Data protection act (DPA), Freedom of information (FOI), and JSP 441
- Due to the nature of the client it would be an advantage for candidates to hold or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance
