Monitoring Support Technician (m/f)
For our client in Zurich we are looking for a Monitoring Support Technician to support the infrastructure and application monitoring tools
YOUR TASKS:
- Being the leading point of contact for Swiss related monitoring issues with a heavy focus on BMC products including Patrol
- Maintaining CH event/alert quality at GPC event management consoles and ensuring minimum noise is generated
- Analyzing new monitoring requests and implementing them with the assistance of the monitoring baseline governance board or application owners
- Coordinating with the extended team members on changes (RFCs)
- Ensuring that the event management team can handle alerts and co-relating events
- Tracking monitoring issues & work with extended teams to implement fixes
YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Experience in BMC Performance Manager/Patrol as well as in Splunk (Logfile Management tool)
- Mandatory experience in BMC Event Management, Symantec Insight Inquire, I3 tools
- Installation and support knowledge of monitoring products
- Know-How in using Unix Shell Scripting, Regular expression is an advantage
- Vast knowledge of SQL & XML
- Languages: Fluent in English both written and spoken, German nice to have
