Monitoring Support Engineer

As Monitoring Support Engineer you will operate as member of the Monitoring Support Team and will provide assistance to the Monitoring Team:

- During the Build phase of any IT Service, by integrating the IT Service into the Operations Framework (monitoring, alarming, ticketing, tool);
- During the Run phase of any IT service, by giving support and assistance to the Monitoring Team eg for improvement opportunities

In order to insure the performance of the Monitoring and as such, playing a dominant role in the Rapid Service Restore of the delivered IT Services.

Profile:

- Bachelor degree (or higher) in IT, Electronics or Industrial Engineering;
- Experience in a Monitoring function is a plus;
- Experience in transaction processing or financial processing is a plus;
- Experience in monitoring tools and ticketing tools;
- Basic body of knowledge in OS, DBMS, Middleware, Network, Scripting, schedulers;
- Experience in end-user informatics;
- Bilingual Fr/Nl, good knowledge of technical English;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Sense of responsibility (End-To-End ownership of a problem, result oriented);
- Service-minded;
- Able to work in team (Monitoring Support Team) and with other teams (Monitoring, Second Level Support,) but also in autonomy;
- Able to work in an international context (multicultural aspects)
- Flexible (evolving business and technical environments, moving priorities);
- Stress resistant;

WORKING HOURS [RBU1]:

- Service Coverage: 7:00 - 18:30
- Stand-by: 24h/24h, 7days/week, 1 week on 4, intervention on escalation only (when autonomous), 1 Saturday on site/month (when autonomous) [Escalation HSM & Telco]
