Model Maker

The main purpose of this role is to manufacture model parts to high levels of accuracy using a number of manufacturing techniques. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assembly of the model to rigorous standards and the support of wind tunnel test sessions that will require occasional periods of flexible working.

Candidates will have served a recognised apprenticeship in model making, or associated engineering trade, and have previous experience in Formula 1 model making and wind tunnel testing.

Successful candidates will specifically have responsibility for;
*Manufacturing wind tunnel components to a high standard
*Assembling wind tunnel both in model shop and at the wind tunnel
*Supporting wind tunnel test sessions

Essential Skills and Qualifications
*Served a recognised apprenticeship in model making, or associated engineering trade
*Previous experience in Formula 1 model making and wind tunnel testing
*Able to work to high standards under tight time restraints
*Able to work in a small team, and would like to make a difference
