MOD Occupational Health Nurse, Band 6

Castlerock Recruitment Group have been awarded the contract to supply all grades of healthcare staff to the Ministry of Defence for locum assignments. We currently require an experienced and competent Occupational Health Nurse to provide full-time holiday cover to a health centre in London. This is a locum post that is due to start ASAP - 14 December 2012.

The successful candidate will be competent in the following areas:
*Case management (including Sickness Absence Management (SAM)
*Health surveillance
*Workplace assessment
*Advice regarding vaccination
*Clinical audit

This role will include monitoring of clients in varied work environments, routine health surveillance screening, history taking, advice to workers, gather and record working history, workplace exposure and recall for health surveillance, screening of health questionnaires, assessment of fitness for work, contribution to risk reduction and hazard analysis at the level of the individual awareness of nature of work risks and hazards.

Essential
*Must be registered with the NMC and hold a valid Personal Identification Number (PIN).
*Five years post registration relevant experience and Occupational Health qualification.
*Computer skills.
*Specialist Practitioner (Occupational Health Nursing).
*Experience and competence in Health and Safety, Travel Medicine and PHCIS.

Desirable

*Previous experience of working with MOD.
