Mobile Solutions Architect

Job Title: Mobile Solutions Architect
Type: Contract- 3 months (with likely extension)
Location: Downtown Atlanta (near CNN)

Our client is seeking a Mobile Solutions Architect for a 3 month contract position in the Downtown Atlanta area.  The Solutions Architect will be working on client's Mobile Management systems and platforms. They will specify, design, document and direct the architecture of how the API's flow across six disparate systems.  

This role requires both broad and deep technical knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping client product requirements and business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions. The Solution Architect must have hands-on experience with the development of software products, the design, development and implementation of large enterprise business solutions in heterogeneous environments, and demonstrated success in integrating new solutions with Legacy systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with functional and technical teams, including data architects and application developers, to design solutions that are consistent within a larger enterprise architecture.
- Assist in high level design needed for the solution (including information, infrastructure, application, and business) and participate in the development of technically challenging portions of the solution.
- Maintain a broader focus during solution design so that each solution can contribute to and share from a core service oriented architecture.
- Partner with cross functional teams to provide input and technology direction.
- Work with business owners to understand business requirements and technical strategy related to the assigned line of business in order to design solutions for their user base.
- Work with technology teams (Java, SOA Web services, User Experience, Data Architecture) to develop high level designs and translate this to business owners to ensure strategic objectives are met.
- Provide technical guidance to client's system designs for various internal business groups.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline, MIS Degree or Engineering background a plus
- 8 to 10 years industry experience with 5 years concentrated in system design and development.
- Big 5 Consulting a plus
- General understanding of database and data modelling concepts, represented in industry standard tools like Visio and Enterprise Architect.
- Experience with ESB and other messaging systems designs.
- Knowledge of OO software design a plus.
- Strong leadership experience paired with strong virtual teaming abilities.
- Outstanding negotiation, organizational, creative, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Must possess a business focused point of view when presenting information and designs.
