Mobile Payments Strategy Manager / Consultant - 3 m

Our client, a leading payments organisation is looking for a Senior Manager / Consultant to help develop the overall strategy and to set the agenda for all Mobile activities across the business.This is a high-profile role that will require the role-holder to provide thought leadership and to work across the company to ensure the strategy is appropriately developed, aligned and understood throughout the organisation.Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience* A strong track record of successful strategy development within a complex, commercial environment, preferably within a major eCommerce / mCommerce or payments brand * Exceptional analytical skills to build the "fact-base" and key insights to determine areas of greatest opportunity* Experience of working in cloud-based payments / wallets with perspective of how they translate into a mobile and / or physical (in store) environment* Proven ability to deliver high quality outputs in demanding timeframes* Demonstrated business acumen and strategic problem solving in order to identify key issues and develop actionable plans and recommendations * Strong influencing and communication skills (particularly written) to manage internal and external stakeholders and to secure buy-in * Proven ability to work cross-functionally to develop joint strategies and to develop actionable delivery plans * In-depth knowledge of payment innovations, trends, players and competitors in the eCommerce and mCommerce environments * A "can do" mentality - demonstrating a real passion for making things happen and for achieving stretch targetsDesirable Skills, Knowledge & Experience* Strategy development experience in consulting and/or blue-chip organisations* Mobile/Digital Payments environment experience * Knowledge & deep insights within the financial services industry with strong familiarity across European geographies * Experience of working in continental Europe and the ability to speak more than one European languageKey Accountabilities:* Develop key current and future market views of the potential use cases of digital (cloud-based) payments in the physical (in store) environment* Build and maintain a detailed understanding of the key external/market factors and competitor activity influencing the mobile payments strategy* Develop and co-ordinate a high-level view of the various business models in use with implications and potential responses* Work with the wider team to develop high-level product, pricing and proposition responses as required* Ensure alignment of approach and strategy with other internal teams and product centres of excellence. * Support the Mobile team as well as incoming requests from senior management and other teams/divisions
