Mobile Payments Consultant (12 Month Contract)

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Payments Consultant to join an established mobile communications company.
They are looking for an individual who can provide expertise on the finance industry and its mobile products, building closer links with this industry as well as identifying and driving co-operation opportunities.

Person Specification
Possesses a deep knowledge of the global payments and finance industry in both fast grower and mature markets
Experienced in the design, development/build, testing and specification of innovative financial products and services
Has a wide ranging network of senior level contacts throughout the banking and finance industries and within the credit card schemes
Good understanding of the impacts of mobile on payment services (opportunities, business models, new products and services, emergence of new players)
Knowledge and experience of working with mobile operators would be seen as a positive, especially in the areas of new product design, development and launch
Strong commercial acumen, which can be applied to the development of sustainable product based business models
An ability to work and deliver effectively across multiple trans-national organisations, in different industry sectors
A confident self-starter who is able to lead from the front and persuade others to collaborate for mutual benefit

Main Role Responsibilities
The person selected for this role will be expected to
Act as a key liaison point for the Mobile Payments programme and the financial industry, in order to lead vertical ecosystem development and outreach in order to develop sustainable mobile payments propositions and product concepts.
Develop and grow strong programme and wide links into the financial industry, especially with banks, credit card schemes, new market entrants and disruptors and mobile money developers and providers
