Mobile Packet Core Engineer/LTE-EPC Design Engineer

Our client is a global provider of Telecommunications and requires a mobile packet core engineer to join a team for an LTE rollout. The ideal Mobile Packet Core Engineer/ LTE-EPC Design Engineer/ Ericsson/ SGSN/ GGSN/ EPG/ MKVIII will have extensive experience on Ericsson Core Platforms and kit.

Technical Competence

- At least 8 years experience in Packet Core area
- Expert level understanding of 3GPP architectures with reference to the Ericsson EPC solution/ Product Portfolio (SGSN-MME MKVIII, EPG-SSR 2012A, etc)
- Expertise in EPC and also interworking with legacy GGSN
- Solid Design expertise in Packet Core area, both for delivery of High Level and Low Level design strategy, decisions and documentations
- Design Experience- for both SSR and M-Series based Ericsson EPG and GGSN products
- Track record of involvement with large Triple Access Packet Core design project and migrations
- Identifying, scoping and providing requirement specification for testing of design functionalities that requires Proof of Concept testing (early on during the High Level Design cycle)
- Participation in Migration strategy decision process
- Migration planning- Consumer and Corporate APN Migration (strategy and design)
- Understanding of EPS Signaling, EPG logical Interfaces, Mobility,etc
- Good understanding of IP and IP Routing protocols
- System Integration design of EPG for connectivity to operator's IP/MPLS Backbone
