Cross Platform Mobile Developer (iOS + Android)

We are a B2B Company that makes innovative, intuitive and entertaining Apps which are designed to bring the world of book and magazine publishing to a new digital audience. We are currently building mobile apps for the fashion industry and are looking for a Mobile Developer to join our team.

The remit is to create a complete workflow whereby data and media are input into a web-facing CMS which needs to be integrated around an SDK (one that has already been written). The finished code then needs to be published as an iOS and an Android App.

You will be working within a highly motivated team and will need to have experience across multiple platforms including iOS and Android. Other mobile platform experience would be appreciated.

Essential Skills Required:
- Strong OOP skills in Objective-C
- Proven commercial software development experience
- Proven ability in delivering successful consumer and/or business products
- Experience with iOS SDK
- Ability to use analytic data and user testing to inform design decision
- Additional Android skills in Java, J2EE
- Experience commercially of using Android SDK's
- Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
- Experience on web service integration (JSON, XML)

Desirable Skills:
- Creative and design flair
- Good HTML5
- Web-design and other interface design

Location: Near Thame (Oxon.) or home-based

Salary on application, but commensurate with both software and publishing industries.

It is anticipated that this is a maximum of a 6 month project (ideally less, as time is of the essence) and we would be looking to pay either a project fee or to offer a 6 month contract (with other projects included if this one is completed earlier).

There is a strong possibility that if the project is successful, we would look either to make the position permanent or to find a steady stream of further work.
