Mobile Core Engineer MGw/MRS

Projektbeschreibung

VoLTE, UDC and MSC-BC will be key business for Core Network in the next 2 years. To meet the demand for new solution delivery while continuing to deliver the current business, new engineers are needed to be developed to deliver quality services to multiple operators at the same time.

The required candidates will participate as a OJT to build technical knowledge of MRS and to support implementation and verification of the initial launch systems. After commercial service in, these engineers will take additional responsibilities such as customer support, software expansion and future software upgrades of MGw/MRS, Therefore, Japanese speaking is a must to communicate with customer on day-to-day support as well as emergency case handling. In addition, members are expected to work closely with PM and PDU/PLM to get necessary support and collaboration for project and support issues. Therefore, good English communication is also a key competence. As these members are long term investment to build a good technical foundation to support VoLTE, it is more suitable to hire local employee rather than EFS, off-shoring or subcontractors to ensure the competence remain in the organization.

DESCRIPTION:

This position is for a Mobile Core Engineer in Mobile Core Solution Domain, mainly working on MGw for WCDMA and MRS for VoLTE.

As a MGw/MRS engineer, you will be responsible to verify the new products, expansion for both SW and HW before delivery is made to customers. The verification is carried out in the test lab and customer's lab.

You will act as technical customer interface in the project to handle technical related questions to customers. You will create technical and implementation documents as well as explaining them to reach agreement with customers. You are responsible to verify the correctness of all deliverables and negotiate with customers to fine-tune the procedure and Detailed Implementation Time Plan (DITP).

In execution, you need to perform customer testbed and live node implementation, validating the results and handle problems when it occurs. This includes mostly domestic travels to different customer sites.

You will also work as a Support Engineer to handle CSR and other technical support in the field in case of problems. You will be sometimes required to prepare presentation and explain the customer. During investigation, you need to act as interface toward customers and global support and design team until the problem is resolved.

QUALIFICATION

Education:

- University degree or equivalent with electrical, telecommunication or computer science background.

Pertinent Experience

- Over 3 years of telecommunication engineering experience in WCDMA or LTE Core Network;
- Understanding of mobile communication network topology and architecture;
- Testing or equivalent experiences, preferably in WCDMA or LTE network with knowledge of 3GPP and related specification
- Ericsson MGw or MRS handling experience such as integration or verification is a plus;
- Experience of fault handling and trouble localization for commercial products;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- You have proactive, positive and outgoing attitude;
- Ability to work in team.
