Mobile Applications Developer

Yoh has an immediate contract opportunity for a MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPER with our client in Center City Philadelphia, PA. This is a six month contract with possible extensions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Candidate will be creating applications on iPad; these apps are already on iPhone, but there will be many modifications and updates to them, so it is not just taking from one and moving to the other, new development will be done. Must know app store and be published.
- Building out customer-facing self-service mobile applications
- Facilitating access to customer data through mobile platforms
- Developing mobile applications based on strong iOS, Android or HTML5 skill base
- Designing individual mobile applications that will be part of a larger ecosystem of apps, with deliverables every six months

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum three (3) years of experience with mobile systems such as iOS, Android (not their preference) and at least one (1) published application
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with non-mobile systems such as Java and/or .NET
- Experience working with Objective C
- Experience working with C++, C# and/or Java
- JSON, XML, APIs and other web services
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Object Oriented Design principles
- Multi-Threading and memory management specific to mobile devices
- Understanding of caching mechanisms
- Agile development methodologies
- Strong software design abilities
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
- Experience working with 3rd party APIs
- Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Experience in mobile interface design and development
- Adaptable technical abilities
- Experience completing an application and seeing it through certification to the app market
- Candidate must be able to come in and hit ground running, they do not have capacity there to do any hand holding. Good communication skills very important.
- Be able to simplify complex tasks, reduce unnecessary development, and produce clean, manageable applications, from both a user perspective and code maintenance viewpoint
- As a Mobile Application Developer, you must possess superb development skills as well as strong technical documentation skills. You are a thought leader, have a desire to drive mobile development standards for a global management consulting firm, while being able to work with third party vendors and consultants who will be assisting with mobile development.
