Mobile Application Developer Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPER to join our client in St. Louis, MO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Act as a supporting iOS and/or Android developer.
- Deliver across the entire app life cycle -concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
- Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions.
- Optimizing performance for the apps.
- Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Core Skills
- Junior iOS developer with zero to two (0 - 2) years of experience in the business environment. New college graduates will be considered.
- Desire and ability to thrive in a highly creative and technical environment, while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passionate about latest trends in interactive experiences across a variety of mediums with a strong desire for innovation.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, written, problem solving skills.
- Self-motivated, self-managing, and able to work independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical decisions and their rationales to client's and team members.
- Experience building applications for leading mobile platforms, including iOS and Android.
- Programmer Skills
- Experience with mobile development languages Objective-C for IOS.
- Experience with mobile development tools and frameworks such as Eclipse (with Android plugins) and Xcode.
- Experience with web languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Server Side languages such as Java, C# and the .NET Frameworks as well as knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Designer Skills
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other standard graphic software tools.
- Experience with designing and creating UI components for mobile apps.
- Knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and Mobile Development Guidelines.
- Ability to create compelling user interfaces based on client requirements and directions.
- Ability to quickly iterate on designs at request of client.
- Bonus Skills
- Working knowledge of Agile/SCRUM Methodology.
- Experience implementing solutions using Social APIs, Oauth and 3rd party data services integration.
- Experience with Windows Phone and Blackberry Experience.
- Experience with cross-platform development tools.
