Mobile/Android Developer - 5 Months Contract - Zurich, Switzerland

Currently we are looking for a MOBILE/ANDROID DEVELOPER to join our client's team in the Zurich area.

JOB DUTIES

As a Mobile Developer you will develop an Android App with interfaces to translation services of Google (Google translate), IBM (Watson language translator) and Microsoft (Microsoft translator).

Specifically you will be responsible for:

- Establishing a Bluetooth HFP link to a Dover HD with voice pickup at the HD Concurrent streaming, recognition and translation of the voice stream from the Dover HD to ASCII text (compare source language detection, recognition and translation accuracy and speed) and rendering on the screen
- Accessing the APIs of Google, IBM and Microsoft; Offline: Establishment of a usage account for each service
- TTS via a selectable service (one out of three, configurable)
- Rendering of the translated speech into either the Dover HD or the Smartphone/tablet loudspeaker configurable)
- Configuring the services individually in a swetup screen (eg target language, source language if needed (or auto recognition, etc.)
- Rating the recognized/translated speech into best/correct versions
- Collecting rating results (together with further metadata) from multiple app deployment onto a central server for collective evaluation

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Independent work attitude
- Experience with access to BT Interface
- Experience with data collection over multiple App deployments ( big data )
- Experience with access to translation services of Google, IBM and Microsoft is beneficial
