MIS Systems Developer (VBA/SQL/Crystal Reports)

To assist in the successful planning and implementation of MIS within the Families 1st Service, this position is with a Major London Borough Council.

Analyse, design, develop, test and implement fully integrated MIS, specifically databases.
Create forms, queries, reports, algorithms and codes (VBA & SQL) To ensure the high quality delivery of system change/development, ensuring the successful maintenance, running, implementation of core MIS within the service.
Create reports through report writing programs such as Crystal Reports.
Produce and maintain appropriate levels of documentation for projects.
Develop good quality data protocols to ensure quality data input, system integrity and efficiency.
To investigate problems and other requests for support, determine and implement actions.

Contribute to customisation and development of MIS within Families 1st Service.
Work with staff to monitor the use of MIS and working practices regarding the operations use.
To ensure that Families 1st MIS are constructed and maintained to protect security of families data and its compliance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act and any other specific legislation to protect, the corporate health of the local authority.
Active member of relevant user groups and to attend events as held to keep up to date with technological changes.
To attend meetings relevant to the post or meetings as designated by the MIS Manager / Families 1st Coordinator.
Post holder will contribute to ensuring the delivery of a high quality Family Intervention Service.
