MIS Analyst - SQL Server - Teradata - Oracle

MIS ANALYST
We require an MIS Analyst to work within the business reporting team primarily developing and amending reports for our Mobile operation. The candidate will be required to design, create and amend ad-hoc and on demand reports for key customers. They will need to ensure that required systems and data are available to enable internal customers fulfil their reporting requirements within reasonable timelines and to a required level of accuracy and validation.
This is a commercially driven role, reporting into the Head of Business Reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Demonstrate technical excellence and efficiency in producing and amending reports for the key customers of the Consumer &Business Reporting team.
* Demonstrate technical excellence and project management skills in designing automated reporting solutions for key business users.
* Act as point of contact in relation to new report design and change requests.
* Create ad-hoc reports and campaigns where required.
* Act as business-side SME working closely with the Data Warehouse team & other MIS analysts to identify and influence requirements for designing, improving and enhancing the data available, and ensure business and financial requirements are captured in all MIS related projects.
* Design, implement and manage reporting solutions to meet company wide reporting requirements.
* Maintain concise and accurate documentation in relation to all report related requests and issues.
* Support sales and operational reporting requirements
* Attend meetings & act as an expert in the area of MIS and reporting.
Business Experience in a high data volume industry such as telecommunications, financial services or retail is highly desirable.
Proficiency in some or all of the following technologies is expected:
* Oracle and/or Teradata Server databases
* Oracle Hyperion Reporting (Brio)
* Microstrategy
* Microsoft SQL Server
* OBIEE
* Crystal Reports
* Microsoft Reporting Services
PROFILE
* Excellent oral & written communication skills.
* Ability to clearly explain information of a complex nature to business users, specifically in the area of Logical Data Models.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
* Ability to absorb new information quickly and make progress effectively when barriers to learning are encountered.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Four or more years experience in a similar position is desirable and a third level qualification with a significant IT, business or statistics component is essential.
