MIS Analyst - HR Department SQL Server SSIS SSRS

JOB PURPOSE
An new dept in the HR team designed to ensure that the organisation is operating at an optimal level.
The role will be responsible for supporting the function through delivering analytics on internal HR topics and in addition work with the rest of the business on ad hoc projects.
They will leverage a mixture of internal and external data to support HR Policies in areas such as performance management, pay, org size and shape, managed services, business excellence and organisational effectiveness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Data extraction, manipulation to support Organisational Effectiveness.
Preparation of presentations and analytics of subject areas
Implement the data extracts or models required by the HR team to resolve business issues and/or identify business opportunities
Perform exploratory and ad hoc data analysis with a view to generating insights and using this to deliver actionable recommendations to the business. This process is both in reaction to requests from the business, but also as a proactive activity.
Translate the business problems presented to them into a data analysis approach.
Work closely with the business and the Business and HR teams to interpret analyses and formulate the So What'.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with analytical tools in a commercial setting
Project Management experience, delivering analytical projects
Experience delivering Business Intelligence services in a commercial setting
Experience working with multiple and disparate data sources.
Knowledge and comprehension of technology and data management techniques used in the process of collecting, storing and retrieving data.
Commercial experience of Database Administration/Data Integration/ETL Development/Database Design/Data Warehouses/Datamarts
Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions,
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Data Preparation Analysis.
- An understanding of Databases.Minimum is knowledge of query tools but an advantage would be a understanding of SQL).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, etc),
- Microsoft SQL Server (SSIS, SSRS) And OR Oracle
