Migration Technical Analyst

Migration Technical Analyst with ITIL/SOX compliancy experience and Source Code preferably from a financial background within Banking services, required for an initial 2 month contract onsite at a large financial institution based in London.

As the Migration Technical Analyst with ITIL/SOX compliancy experience you will be responsible for the following.

Responsibilities:

*The role of an analyst working with various technical teams to understand interdependency of the various applications and their suitability for migration
*Is responsible to analyse the current application portfolio and recommend areas for application de-commissioning/rationalization
*Work with various teams on analysing potential risks in the migration and building plans to mitigate the migration risks
*Be able to communicate technical issues and requirements in a non-technical way to business users
*Work with a project manager on building a migration plan

The candidate should have:

* Experience working in a similar capacity.
* The ability to carry-out document analysis to enable capture and use within the business application.
* Capable of going through source code and identifying potential trouble areas
* Experienced in working with internal teams and resolving technical issues
* The ability to engage with business users and communicate in non-technical manner if required.
* The ability to analyse the system workflows and translate to business workflows, and record interdependencies
* Must come from Software development background - 5 years+ of .NET experience
* 5 years+ recent Technical Development or troubleshooting experience (software development projects, full life cycle)
* Preferably be familiar with ITIL process and SOX compliancy
* Must have some financial experience, preferably banking experience
* Must have experience in application support and troubleshooting
* Experience of working with business and IT stakeholders
* Good business analysis skills
* Good communication, interpersonal and written skills
* Successful track record of delivery
