Migration Engineer - Cloud to Cloud (Remote Position) Job

Yoh has a contract to direct opportunity for a SENIOR VIRTUAL CLOUD MIGRATION ENGINEER to join our client in St. Louis, Missouri. This position can be remote.

Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for successfully executing multiple migration that the Migration Architect designed
- Manage Windows operating systems, virtualization technologies, and application migrations.
- Manage Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, and application migrations.

Job Qualifications:
- Seven to ten (7-10) years of experience working with one or more top consulting or industry firms in a consultative capacity
- Demonstrable skills in VMware vSphere and vCloud Director
- Migration tools experience such as PlateSpin, RiverMeadow, Racemi and/or Rackware
- Strong communicator with excellent presentation and public speaking skills. Enjoys working with customers and external audiences
- Operating Systems: 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows 2003, Windows 2008, and Windows 2008 R2; VMware vSphere hypervisor
- Operating Systems: 32 and 64-bit versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server, or Solaris for x86 processors
- Hypervisor technologies: VMware vSphere, Xen, XenServer, Hyper-V, and/or KVM
- Hardware: Blade and rack-mounted Servers from HP, Cisco, IBM, Dell
- VMWare Accredited, ITIL qualified
- Consulting skills in at least three of the following areas: Vmware, Networks, Storage. System Migrations, Business Continuity
- Good experience of using consultative technical sales approach and engagement styles
- Demonstrable experience in delivering migration solutions on time and on budget
- Demonstrable consulting experience in the IT industry
- Must have worked in a customer facing role
- Must have a proven track record of working with blue chip customers and at all levels within a customer
- Must have the ability to produce and present flowing and articulate presentations to diverse audiences, eg customer meetings and seminars
- Excellent knowledge of Shared Storage, Replication, load balancing, and WAN Technologies
- Excellent knowledge of IT Security and Firewall technologies
- Key member of the team that has experience and skill in supporting Linux platforms and Windows platforms, conducting system software research with engineering with expertise in virtualization and migration procedures.
