Midrange Technical Specialist - .Net, Java, C#, C++

Looking for an experienced Midrange Technical Specialist for a 12 month contract opportunity in Canberra with a large government department.

The Technical Specialist will be dealing with authentication and authorisation applications and will be expected to liaise with other technical teams (internal), government departments and vendors.

The Successful Candidate will be required to deliver the following as well as demonstrate advanced technical knowledge.

- As part of a team deliver the HSM Upgrade, Windows Server OS Upgrade and UniCERT Upgrades
- As part of a team deliver production support, maintenance and system upgrades to the AUSkey system
- Demonstrate extensive experience and expert level knowledge of Java, .net, C, XML and Web Services
- Demonstrate expert level of software development in ASP .NET C#, C++
- Demonstrate expert level of software development on Windows, Server 2008 with IIS 7.5 and .NET 3.5 and 4.
- Demonstrate expert level of skills in XML, Web Services and related Security standards including SAML, WS-Security
- Demonstrate expert level of software development for Browsers using ASP.NET and JavaScript
- Demonstrate expert level of skills in Windows Workflows
- Demonstrate expert level of knowledge around WCF and web services
- Demonstrate ability to undertake complex application development and programming in the area of Digital Certificate and Cryptology technologies
- Extensive experience in development, testing and debugging midrange applications for a high profile application
- Demonstrate ability to provide technical advice and support
- Demonstrate ability to produce technical documentation such as design and deployment documents
- Demonstrate ability to mentor and provide knowledge transfer to staff

KEY DELIVERABLES

Within the team the successful candidate will be required to deliver:

- Upgrades to the AUSkey Software Developers Kits (SDK) for C, Java and .net versions
- Maintenance and development of the server components of the system
- Technical analysis for production support issues and upcoming projects including the Windows Server OS Upgrade and HSM Upgrade
- Infrastructure upgrades to the client and server components of the system including the Unicert upgrade
- Analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment of business and technical requirements
- Technical documentation for upgrades and ongoing support tasks
