A highly regarded Federal Government department is looking to engage 2 experienced MIDRANGE DEVELOPERS to join their ICT team in Melbourne. This is a rare and highly sought after 12 month contract commencing immediately with a rewarding hourly rate on offer and possible extensions of up to 24 months.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

- Perform detailed technical analysis of the business and functional enhancements planned in BDE
- Provide high quality, detailed design and solutions for BDE, using Sterling Integrator, SQL, WebSphere MQ, Java, XSLT, and third party APIs.
- Code and build changes to the BDE application including the preparation of technical specifications and other documentation and code reviews.
- Consulting the Design and Strategy and Architecture teams of the department on a regular basis to extract, validate and review BDE changes and progress
- Train and mentor staff and assist in the transition of skill and knowledge of BDE and ECI changes to permanent staff members

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

- Experience in design and implementation of workflows in Sterling Integrator using BPML, Maps, and Sterling services and adapters.
- Demonstrated understanding of XBRL
- Extensive design and development experience using Java, SQL, WebSphere MQ, XML, Xpath and XSLT
- Ability to work with project managers, project team members and business representatives to deliver project outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to be self motivated with minimal direct management and a demonstrated commitment to meeting deadlines
