Midrange Developer - Immediate Start - 12 Month role

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Midrange Developers within a Government Department for a 12 month contract.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide specialist Data-power, WebSphere Application Server, SOAP UI and DB2 skills, working as a team to resolve software problems or enhance system performance;
- Resolve incidents, problems and changes in a timely manner to ensure production system stability and availability (including infrastructure and IBM Data-power application issues);
- Provide the manager with technical guidance and report on work progress weekly;
- Deliver on assigned Change Request work within agreed timeframes. This may involve technical analysis, technical design, reverse engineering of applications or product configuration and documentation, new configuration and coding work, testing, documentation to Development Methodology standards; and
- Provide on call support one week in every four, after hours.

SKILLS:

- More than 12 months experience with WebSphere Data-Power, WebSphere Application Server, SOAP UI, XML, XSLT;
- Tivoli Compliance Insight Manager, Tivoli Access Manager, XBRL, or Java, .NET, DB2 experience, WebSphere Portal, C-programming;
- Demonstrated experience of supporting production environments - focusing on strong troubleshooting skills; and
- Understanding of infrastructure - including building, deploying and supporting Windows Servers; monitoring and networking.
