Middleware Engineer: IBM Websphere MQ, Unix, Linux, Windows

My client, a global financial institute require a Middleware Engineer to provide IBM MQ project support across a multi-platform infrastructure for a large internal project.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

You should have at least five years of experience within a multi-platform (UNIX, Linux and Windows) environment; engineering and supporting large IBM MQ Series environments. You must also have a strong track record in writing, installing and supporting scripts for message & file handling using WebSphere MQ as the communications layer.

We would also expect you to have the following core skills:

- MQ Client configuration and setup.
- Providing support to Developers with configuration and setup of the MQ Server & MQ Client connections in the Applications. (Mainly .NET based)

The following technical skills are desirable/nice to have:

- IBM Development/Scripting skills using Unix Shell and Perl Scripting, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, C/C++ and .Net
- Knowledge of RedHat JBoss Middleware (JBoss WebServer/Tomcat and EAP)
- Knowledge of IBM WebSphere AS
- Support message and file transfers on Unix, Windows and Linux platforms using multiple protocols
- Experience with Agile/Scrum
- Experience with development tools, like GIT, Jenkins, Maven, etc
