Middleware Engineer

Our client, a major investment bank are looking for an experience Middleware Engineer to join the UK Middleware Technology Group.

The Middleware team is composed of 3 areas.

- Middleware Messaging (WebSphere MQ),
- Middleware SSO (Identity and access management technologies)
- Middleware Web (Microsoft Web Technologies, Light Java Web technologies, WebSphere Application Server, SharePoint, Documentum, Google Search technologies, WebTrends, Business Objects).

Key Responsibilities:

- To work with the Application Production Support project managers in defining, designing, documenting and implanting new functionality for existing and new applications.
- To liaise with the Application Developers in low level diagnosis of on-going issues
- To provide subject matter expertise on core Middleware technologies to all business application teams
- To contribute to the improvement of process and technology of Middleware

Key Skills Required:

- (core) WebSphere Application Server V6 and V7
- (core)IBMHTTP Server or Apache, Tomcat, Microsoft IIS 5/6/7
- (core) Sharepoint 2007/2010
- SSL Certificate Management (openssl, keytool)
- JACL/Jython Scripting
- .Net development/Scripting
