MIDDLEWARE CONSULTANT (JAVA/J2EE, MS TECHNOLOGIES)

The contract is with a large consultancy to be on assignment at a Euopean site in Den Haag, Netherlands. The client is looking for a Middleware Consultant.

Tasks:

- Deploy ICT solution in staging and production environments following the organization processes and procedures and perform application maintenance;
- Provide second line support for users and customers for the resolution of incidents and problems related to applications operation;
- Be responsible for the execution of planned maintenance operations as described by the applicable procedures;
- Be able to supply the installation, technical, support and maintenance documentation;
- Design, implement and maintain operational procedures;
- Monitor, support and maintain applications operation area;
- Other activities related to specific projects in the area of ICT operations.

Professional Experience:

Mandatory:

. Min 5 years' experience of ICT work within at least one organisation with more than 200 employees
. Min 1 year experience in Microsoft OS technologies
. Min 1 year experience in administration and configuration of Java application Servers or enterprise Java technologies

Professional Knowledge:

Mandatory:

. Knowledge of JAVA/J2EE technologies
. Knowledge of Microsoft technologies

Desirable:

. Knowledge of Unix and Linux environments
. Knowledge of VmWare virtualisation environments
. Knowledge of ActiveMQ technologies
. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and in particular ver 2008R2
. Knowledge of Jboss Application Server
. Knowledge of concepts related to load balancing technologies and application scaling
. Knowledge of LDAP concepts
. Knowledge of network principles, VLANS, TCP/IP and routing

Fluent English - both written and spoken.
