OPERATIONS PROJECT MANAGER

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Middle Office operations project manager to join a leading Investment bank.

The position sits within global Transaction Services who provide cash management, trade, securities and fund services to financial institutions and corporate clients around the world

This role will help manage the migration of clients from the banks Legacy Middle Office platform to the in-house developed strategic platform.

The position requires liaison between a number of teams within the bank, including Operations teams in London and Technology teams in London/New York.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, can-do attitude, drive to completion of project stages, and ability to work under time pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Good people management skills would also be a distinct advantage, and an analytical approach to the role is required.

Experience in a Middle Office management/project management position within an investment bank is essential.

- Ownership of project plans, actively tracking deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues.
- Co-ordinate and chair project meetings/conference calls.
- Reflect all outcomes from project meetings/workshops within the project plan and supporting documentation so that status is transparent to all stakeholders.
- Maintenance of metrics, reporting and status reports to report progress against project objectives and milestones. Understand dependencies and pre-empt and address conflicts and constraints at the project level.
- Carry out post-implementation reviews and incorporate the lessons learned into the Project management and Governance model.
