ROLE

- The individual will be required to establish close working relationships at all levels with Front Offices and all support areas. These include Credit Risk, Finance, Market Risk, Legal, IT, Settlements, Collateral Teams and Confirmations - allowing for an integrated and proactive approach to the business' requirements.
- The individual will need to be able to understand, follow and where necessary, compile/contribute to MI in relation to their business in terms of its controls as well as adhering to and operating within predefined limits or caps that relate to KRI or KPI's attributable to their business. The individual will also need to make a contribution to improving the team and department's operating model in light of evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Detailed knowledge of the front to back processes required to maintain a stable and controlled trade environment will be a necessity, as ensuring that all audit and control points are addressed for both existing and new products will be a main responsibility. Supporting and controlling the daily business alongside life cycle management of existing inventory will be a major part of the role however there will be a need for involvement in and running of related business projects, new business, data analysis and issue remediation - all of which must be executed professionally following business principles and relevant procedures.

COMPETENCIES:

- High level understanding of relevant rates/credit markets including vanilla and structured trading businesses.
- Understand the key elements of the front to back processes including other infrastructure groups ie Finance, Market risk, Credit risk, Operational risk, Legal, Tax and Compliance.
- Familiar with running reconciliations and controls, internally or at another financial institution.
- Good understanding of Confirmations. ISDA, documentation and structured product documentation.
- Knowledge of Collateral processes, Initial Margin, Variation Margin, general CSA
- Knowledge in Accounting, able to easily identify impacts to P&L and Balance Sheet as a result of trading or bookings
- Ability to understand and book/amend vanilla derivative products:
- IRS and XCCY Swaps.
- Credit Default Swaps (CDS) and Index CDS
- FTDs, Index Tranches, Asset backed derivatives.
- Term Loan/Deposits
- CDOs and ABS products.
- Summary:

- INVESTMENT BANKING
- DERIVATIVE PRODUCTS (RATES OR CREDIT OR EQUITIES)
- EXPERIENCE OF EMIR REGULATIONS IS USEFUL.
