KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Demonstrable experience of contract delivery in Middle East military customers.
Demonstrate customer expectation management of Middle Eastern customers.
Demonstrable experience and understanding of project management (PRINCE2cost allocations; project accounting.
Project risk and management of project timescales, including sub-contractor management.
An ability to articulate customer value propositions at all levels.
Management and motivation of delivery team.
Effective communicator, especially in written formal document and presentations.
Demonstrable customer facing and presentation skills.
Awareness and understanding of MoD and other government processes (eg DEF STANS/DEFCONS).
Experience of surveillance technology applications (eg through customer contact and/or operational experience).

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Project management trained, requirements capture & risk assessment management.
Commercial understanding (eg cost build ups, profit and loss, margins).
Strong literacy and numeracy.
Advanced use of MS Word and Excel.
Engineering background in a broad range of communications technologies (eg RF, video, cellular, antennas, commercial systems, IP and baseband).
Good technical understanding of surveillance technologies (eg sensors & cameras).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Middle East Experience.
Project Life Cycle Experience,
Experience of project delivering MOD contracts in the Middle East.
Willingness to work in Europe, Middle East for extended periods of time, outside of core working hours.

DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager position sits within the Solutions team, who are responsible for the delivery of existing projects. This project in particular is worth the value of £4.6m and is supporting tactical communication systems in the Middle East. The successful Candidate will be working in Jordan 1 in 3 weekends.

SKILLS OVERVIEW

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

Liaise with technical sales solutions to ensure correct technical specification to meet customer requirements.
Construct detailed statement of work for sub-contractors/teaming partners as required, to ensure detailed capture and execution of content.
Manage and deliver the awarded solution contracts to cost, quality and timescales defined in the contract.
Work with opportunity manager to ensure customer expectations are managed correctly.
Ensure that customer is delighted with all aspects of delivery.
Ensure that internal processes are adhered to with regard Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Finance and Procurement teams during delivery of contracts.
Manage sub contractors/teaming partners during delivery as required.
Provide risk management of complex installation/civil work subcontracts.
Provide monthly financial reporting against cost baseline.

REPORTING:

Life Cycle Management (LCM) Reporting - Phase 2B and beyond (PDR, CDR, FAT,etc).
Monthly project status reporting - financials and forecast.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver projects/programmes on time, to quality and to cost budget. Liaise and manage supplier & teaming partners via statement of works (SOWs) during delivery of solution contracts.
