Mid Level Software Developer Job

MID LEVEL SOFTWARE DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Schenectady, NY.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN THE US FOR ANY EMPLOYER. POSSESSION OF OR THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN A DOE SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED AS A CONDITION FOR EMPLOYMENT.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Clearance: MUST BE eligible to work in the US for any employer, and clearable for DoE clearance level (L or Q): L
- Demonstrated programming experience with Visual Basic.NET, TCP/IP communication and multi-threaded programming is essential

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Candidate will provide support for a variety of existing (Oracle) software applications that facilitate the efficient collection, processing and storage of Thermal Hydraulic test data in Experimental Engineering.
- Support includes the development of software enhancements/functionality as well as bug fixes.
- Demonstrated programming experience with Visual Basic.NET, TCP/IP communication and multi-threaded programming is essential.
- Experience in application software development using Object Oriented Analysis & design and software engineering process and methods.
- Experience in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Fortran90. Specific programming languages shall be identified on the individual requests for personnel via Buyer's purchasing department.
- Experience in distributed systems method, such as RMI (Remote Machine Invocation), J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition), JMS (Java Message Server), CORBA.
- Experience in technical and software documentation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A Bachelor's degree or higher
- Four to six (4-6) years minimum applicable experience
