Role Overview

A midlevel digital media analyst is needed for a fun, paced and aggressive successful advertising firm. This firm represents a variety of clients and constantly strives to makes them happy with strategic campaigns and strong communications. This multitasking analyst needs to be focused, able to offer suggestions regarding analytics, able to manage oneself and work with a strong minded team. The proper candidate will enjoy analysis, quickly access data from statistical software, possess a background in digital media/marketing, have expertise skills with Excel and Google Analytics, and have agency advertising experience.

- The Analyst works with clients and internal staff to analyze all marketing initiatives.
- Helps develop and support more specific targeting and treatment strategies within a test and learn approach.
- The Analyst will drive innovative ideas, build effective client relationships, and use data to deliver persuasive client recommendations.
- Due to the importance of this role in agency, this candidate will need to be experienced in both online and offline data analysis, be experienced to think beyond the numbers and deliver business relevant recommendations based on their analysis outcomes.
- Must be a solid advocate of data and data driven marketing to demonstrate significant experience of turning numbers into highly successful customer engagement campaigns. Additionally will need the ability to advocate and educate around the power of analytics to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with account leads and clients before, during, and after all marketing plans are deployed, ensuring proper metrics are set up/implemented, data is collected succinctly, and results are converted into insights with a clear action plan.
- Gather and define test and learn objectives and agendas as required
- Establish measurement infrastructure for data capture and reporting, determine processes and systems to ensure end to end tracking of customer journeys
- Implementation and QA of data tracking architecture to ensure data integrity and capturing client needs.
- Create business requirements and identify measures, approaches and methodologies for measuring success against objectives
- Design, generate, and maintain data frameworks and reporting that provide insight to the success of digital marketing programs.
- Harness and manage large volumes of data for development of reports and analysis with interpretation of results in business context, including detailed findings and implications presented to key stakeholders at all levels
- Leverage advertising data and client internal data to provide insights and information to make marketing programs optimally effective
- Develop and execute campaign measurement and analysis, test designs, ad-hoc analysis, and present conclusions to clients and account teams.
- Present findings to both internal and client teams with confidence and insightful analysis
- Integrate closely with internal teams (account management, strategy, etc.) to socialize findings to improve campaign performance and user experience
- Participate in client management and relationship opportunities
- Work with account team to develop marketing measurement solutions comprising defining measurement strategy, vision, and requirements needs to support business objectives and improve decision making processes
- Maintain functional expertise in database marketing, integrated channel marketing, analytical tools, techniques, and other similar requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Business experience with web analytics platforms such as: Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends, etc.
- Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office products
- Impeccable attention to detail and very strong ability to convert complex data into

insights and action plans - Ability to QA own work to eliminate opportunities for error
- Ability to manage complex projects and timelines
- Visualization of data/Information display skills (strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential)
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Communication and listening skills
- Basic analytic skills, preferably in the marketing field
- Marketing and/or quantitative analysis experience, preferably including both offline and online/interactive businesses

- Working Knowledge of statistical software: SAS, SPSS, etc.
- Working Knowledge of accessing data in SAS to export to Excel
- Education/Experience
- 2+ years experience in marketing analysis, database marketing and/or research
- Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or Mathematics
