Rate: £37.15 per hour

OUTSOURCE UK LTD is actively seeking to recruit 2 Senior Engineers for a contract role on behalf of a client.

A leading Engineering and Defence organisation

THE JOB:
The purpose of the Senior Engineer role is to work within our clients Electronic Systems and Materials theme team, the capability undertakes research and development of systems in the following areas:
RF Sensors & Communications Systems
Navigation, Electronic & Microwave Optical Systems & Sensor Fusion
Antennas and Electromagnetics
High power RF source design

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

The successful Senior Engineer candidate will be responsible for the following:
Developing innovative technical solutions to antenna and general microwave component design needs using computer based simulation
Undertaking microwave measurements in order to demonstrate agreement of electrical performance with predictions or compliance with customer requirements
Management of technical projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and to cost with a good technical output and in accordance with ATC procedures
Liaising with existing or potential customers, as part of stakeholder management, to assist in capturing new business, or presenting technical findings/results obtained during projects
Responding to customer supplied Invitations to Tender (ITTs) progressing responses through the ATC bid process in a timely manner
Ensuring own activities are conducted in a safe manner, within a safe working environment, remaining compliant with ATC Health & Safety procedures
Assisting in maintaining computing and measurement facilities in a manner appropriate for project needs.
Manipulation of CAD geometry files for use in computer simulations in conjunction with expertise in other Groups

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE
A background in physics, electrical engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable
Familiarity with general microwave test equipment such as Vector Network Analysers would be an advantage.
Some knowledge or an interest in technical computing, a programming language, scientific computing packages or CAD manipulation would be of benefit
Good communication, presentation and report writing skills are essential

You must be eligible to gain UK SC Clearance.
