Microstrategy Developer

OUR CLIENT IS A WELL-KNOWN, CALIFORNIA BASED COMPANY SEEKING A MICROSTRATEGY DEVELOPER FOR A PREMIUM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY.

OVERVIEW

- Provide recommendations and help with the building of objects such as metrics and reports needed to support the dashboard(s)
- Carry out integration testing of all objects for interoperability
- Build reports according to specifications, design documents, and mockups
- Create/modify dashboards for Web Reporting
- Assist in functional testing of reports
- Assist in performance tuning of reports
- Provide coaching on design for future dashboards

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years Business Intelligence experience or 7 years Business Intelligence experience
- Experience writing and debugging complex SQL (3+ years)
- Experience with MicroStrategy Application Development including: Object Creation, Report and Dashboard Design and Development (version 8 or more recent)

PREFERRED:

- 5 years' experience in MicroStrategy development or 9 years of experience in MicroStrategy development
- Experience with Netezza, Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Experience working with Database Schemas and understand Data Warehousing and ETL concepts
- Experience in architecting MicroStrategy metadata projects including object and metric creation
- Experience with MicroStrategy BI Report and Dashboard design and development
- Experience with performance tuning of MicroStrategy applications, dashboards and reports through the use of MicroStrategy tools and data model design optimization
- Understanding of MicroStrategy SDK standards and best practices and the processes to manage and promote customizations through the MicroStrategy environments
