Microsoft Technical Consultant - Reading - £45k - £55k + car

A fantastic opportunity has arisen as a Technical Consultant working for a software house based in Reading.

As a Microsoft Consultant you will work within the Technical Support Centre providing high quality customer support to ensure managed services are being delivered effectively. You will also be involved with Pre-Sales and design of new solutions for customers.

Working in a 24/7 environment, your role will also involve monitoring and proactively manage various systems. You will also provide information, advice and support on the technical content of customer projects. When providing solutions to customers, consultants will be required to keep up to date with ISO standards, ensuring you are adhering to change control and other processes.

Technical skills required:

- Experience in Windows 2008 Server-Standard/Enterprise/ Datacentre editions (including Hyper-V)
- Experience in Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
- Experience with Exchange 2003 / 2007 / 2010
- Experience with Active Directory
- Clustering Services, Terminal Server / Services 2003 / 2003R2 / 2008
- Lync 2010
- BlackberryEnterprise5.X
- Knowledge ofSystemCenterConfiguration Manager (SCCM) 2007 R2,SystemCenterOperations Manager 2007 (SCOM), System Management Server (SMS) 2003
- A professional technical qualification is required MCITP (Exchange 2010)
- Good communication skills
- Flexible to travel to customer site
-UKdriving license
