Microsoft SQL Server DBA

Due to a continued an exciting project, an excellent new opportunity has arisen to work as a SQL Server DBA in a central Manchester location for 250 - 350/day for at least 3 months, almost certainly longer. Being part of a dedicated project team, including numerous other DBA's you will be responsible for the Maintenance, administration, support, performance, tuning and optimisation of the SQL Server 2008/r2 databases.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of SQL Server 2008/r2, Strong knowledge of T-SQL alongside previous Database Administation experience.

Day to day responsibilities will include:
Trouble shooting database issues, monitoring & optimising Memory & physical disks, automating Operational Functions, log-shipping, database mirroring, replication monitoring, tracking and backup, logical backup & recovery, export / import from instances, backups, restores, full & transactional log backups, installation & configuration etc
