On behalf of one of our major clients, a renowned bank based in Zurich, Randstad IT Professionals is actively looking for a MICROSOFT SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR.

MISSION

The SQL Database Administrator is supporting the SQL/Sybase Team, 1000 SQL instances with around 6000 SQl Databases in the Level 2 Team.
The DBA takes responsibility for technical management and coordination of issues and projects primarily involving installation, configuration and on.going administration tasks of SQL Server databases.

The candidate will actively participate in the resolution of system and performance issues.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITY

- MS SQL Server operational documentation and configuration
- SSAS operational documentation and configuration
- SSRS operational documentation and configuration
- Configuration of storage system on the Windows Servers

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- profound Microsoft BI knowledge
- 10 years experience and extensive knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server 2008
- Very good knowledge of Windows and SQL Server Clustering based on Windows Server 2003/2008 with of VERITAS clustering and volume manager
- SQL Server 2008
- SSAS 2008
- SSRS 2008
- SSIS 2008
- Windows Servers 2008 r2
- SAN/NAS Storage
- Troubleshooting, Performance management on SQL Databases
- Fluent in English, German is an asset
