Microsoft Infrastructure / Operations Manager (SCOM / SCCM / System Center Orchestrator / HyperV / Windows / NetApp / SQL)

Highly reputable and growing Financial Software House is seeking an experienced Microsoft Infrastructure / Operations Manager to lead (hands-on) a team of 6 experienced Infrastructure / Operations Engineers.

This software organisation builds highly technical risk analysis platforms, and as such, consistently seek to invest in the most cutting edge technology in the market. As such, the ideal candidate will not only have the relevant skills, but will also be passionate about new technologies, and constantly building on their technical knowledge.

They are seeking an all round solid Microsoft Infrastructure / Operations Engineer with some management experience, since it is hands on management role. You will also need to be able to gather business requirements and translate these into technical requirements and then actually select and install the new technologies.

ESSENTIAL skills.

* In-depth System Centre experience including Orchestrator, SCCM & SCOM setup, configuration and administration is a must!
* HyperV
* NetApp support and administration
* Networking and virtualisation
* Servers, ideally SQL 2005 / 2008 / 2012 experience
* SAN Technology

Secondary skills, which would be nice to have but not essential, are

* Active Directory/Windows server 2008R2
* Powershell
* HP Blade
* Cloud technologies
* Citrix

Overall this will be an extremely varied role which will provide direction to a team of 6 and hands on responsibilities ranging from building new machines, networking, server templates, troubleshooting, maintaining the environment, upgrades and project work.

The ideal candidate will have 10 - 20 years experience, a passion for technology and a mture approach to leading a team.

Location:Central London

Salary: 70 - 100k depending on experience
