Microsoft BI & Tableau Expert

FUNCTION

We require an experience BI expert, preferably coming from the Microsoft Stack of BI tools, who has also had exposure to visualization tools, ideally Tableau

You maintain the current reports and provide support for the end users. These reports are based on relational databases, data warehouses and OLAP cubes and in certain cases they can be Access databases or Excel files.

SPECIFIC SKILLS

KNOWLEDGE OF DATAMODELLING TECHNIQUES/METHODOLOGIES:

- Dimensional modelling (OLAP)
- Entity-relationship modelling
- Data warehousing based on the Kimball and Inmon methodology

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH CONCEPTS AND INDUSTRY STANDARDS:

- T-SQL
- SQL (ansi 95)
- MDX
- Excel and VBA

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH MICROSOFT PRODUCTS:

- SQL 2012 complete stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS):
- SQL Server Integration Services
- SQL Server Analysis Services
- SQL Server Reporting Services
- SQL Server Database Engine

Ideally knowledge of visualisation tools preferably Tableau

GENERAL SKILLS

- Analytical mind with a particular interest in turning data into information any financial experience is considered a plus
- Ability to look beyond what has been build and to apply new concepts to the data
- Communication skills, towards the end users and your management
