MICROSOFT ALM ENGINEER (TFS)

For one of my globally leading financials clients I am urgently looking for an energetic Microsoft ALM Engineer with passion for IT.

THE SUCCESSFUL MICROSOFT ALM ENGINEER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING KNOWLEDGE
- You have experience with the development, organization and management of MicrosoftTeam Foundation Server.
- Think of experience with the application tier, the data tier, with scaling of TFS, backup and restore and sizing of the infrastructure.
- You control Configuration or Infrastructure as Code and apply it.
- Experience with the application tier, the data tier, with the scaling of TFS, with back-up and restore and with sizing of the infrastructure
- You are a Microsoft MVP in the field of ALM or a Microsoft ALM Ranger or you are at that level
- Experience with Configuration of Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with coaching of DevOps teams in improving the software development process
- Experience with multi-tier applications.
- Acceptance Test driven development comes natural to you
- Experience with databases (MS SQL), refactoring and one or more Scripting languages.
- Experience with release automation, pair programming and unit test case development.
- Experience with requirements engineering & information analyse
- You can work in an Agile team
- You keep up to date and are continuously improving your improve IT knowledge
- Certification
- You have a Bachelor or MSc and a background in IT
- You are certified on Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) Application Lifecycle Management or a proven track record at similar level.
- You have experience with guiding DevOps teams in improving software development processes.
- You have experience with and knowledge of multi-tier applications.
- You have knowledge and experience in object-oriented analysis and design and can apply it.
- You master Test driven development and apply it.
- You master Acceptance Test driven development and apply it.
- You have knowledge of and experience with release automation, pair programming coding, unit testing case development.
- You have knowledge of and experience with requirements engineering & information analysis.
- You have knowledge of and experience with databases, refactoring and one or more Scripting languages.
- You have experience with working in an Agile organization.
- You are demonstrably constantly working on your IT knowledge development (books, tutorials, conferences, etc.).
- Education
- HBO/WO work and thinking level, with an IT background.
- Certification and/or proven proficiency in Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) Application Lifecycle Management.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

In this position you work within the CDaaS Windows (Microsoft Continuous Delivery as a Service) team of Group Services. You like working in a multidisciplinary team and working together with a globally distributed team. At the same time, you also find it important that you can use your own expertise to help other teams. The user perspective is your primary drive. If necessary, you support the DevOps teams when using the Continuous Delivery pipeline.

Your work environment:

You work in a DevOps team that aims to further develop and maintain the Continuous Delivery Pipeline for all applications running on a Windows OS.

This pipeline is used by engineers from various applicative DevOps teams for the complete production process (construction, test, deploy etc), for both in-house build applications and for Commercial of the Shelf implementations. In addition, you provide expert advice and support to the applicative DevOps teams (including resilience testing, possible performance tuning, but also when setting up monitoring). With PaaS engineers advice is given about stack improvements. You also provide third-line support for root cause analysis and incident resolution on the platform. You will also teach other engineers how to use ALM technology and to ensure that ALM services are developed, implemented and operated consistently and according to quality standards and guidelines.

CONTRACT: 6months +
