POSITION TITLE: MICROSOFT .NET PROGRAMMER/DEVELOPER

CONTACT DURATION: 3 MONTHS (STRONG POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION)

ENGAGEMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Developer will work closely with infrastructure and business team members in an ongoing effort to migrate applications fr0m Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 or 2012. Update several applications with many service dependencies so they are functional on the new environment. The applications are currently in ArcGIS 9.3.1 and need to be updated to ArcGIS 10.2.2. Knowledge of ArcGIS Rest API and Javascript libraries is highly desirable. The developer will need to work with the business to confirm if there are any changed requirements. The developer will need to update the UI fr0m ArcGIS webADF to ArcGIS JavaScript API with Rest. The developer will need to make updates for updated data sources. The developer will ensure the application is unit tested and work with the QA to create a test plan and/or test script. The Developer will assist with troubleshooting any application problems that are discovered. This troubleshooting may require log file analysis and basic understanding of network addressing, subnets or routing. The Developer will need to follow the application deployment process, applying changes in DEV and TEST before deploying to PRODUCTION. Participation in the weekly change meeting is required to schedule a change. Strong communication skills are desired to participate in the Change Meeting. The developer will need to communicate estimates, test requirements, problems, or other statuses to team members. The State reserves the right to request face-to-face interviews.
